Ranking my five favorite Major League Baseball stadiums

This summer’s World Cup adventures also included two Major League Baseball games at ballparks that I’ve visited in the past and enjoyed doing again. It also made me realize that having visited 15 MLB stadiums, I’m inadvertently halfway to the league’s full list.

That probably won’t happen. To be honest, I’m a good baseball fan when at a game but unless it’s the playoffs, my attention span isn’t great for television or streaming. But having been to more than a dozen, there are a few stadiums that have stood out over the years. Of note is while many people list historic ballparks like Wrigley Field and Fenway Park on their lists, I haven’t been to either for a game (I’ve walked around Fenway on an away day). I also went to the old Yankee Stadium and — sacrilege! — didn’t find it overly special.

Now, on to my list …

5. Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia
