USA Bobsled and Skeleton announced a partnership today with 47G, Albany Engineered Composites, Hexcel and Nammo Composite Solutions that will bring together advanced materials, engineering and manufacturing expertise to support the development of the next generation for USA bobsleds.
The collaboration brings together athletes, engineers, manufacturers and innovators with an eye already toward the 2034 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City.
“We’ve found that when we build sleds in the United States, we provide our U.S. athletes with a competitive advantage,” said USABS Chief Executive Officer Aron McGuire. “We want to put our athletes in the best position to be successful at the 2030 (Olympic) Games and especially with 2034 on the horizon, coming back to the United States, we want to be as competitive as possible. And we know that when we build our own sleds, we win medals.”
